Community Newsletter April 2023

In a war for talent, there’s no better way to stand out than by being an Employer of Choice. And that’s exactly what we dedicated April 20th to – the World-class Workplace event for our World-class Workplace label and award winners! The day brought together industry leaders and passionate HR professionals to discuss the latest trends and best practices in employee well-being and organizational success.

💡 World-class Workplace Event Highlights

1. Amsterdam Canal Boat Tour

We embarked on an action-packed boat tour through the canals of Amsterdam with two electric boats.

2. A Spectacular Awards Ceremony on the water

During the boat ride, we revealed the World-class Workplace award winners for the various industries and territories with the help of stilt-walkers, dancing Effectorians and hoverboards!

3. Custom-made awards

One-of-a-kind trophies that will serve as a lasting reminder of our winners’ hard-earned accomplishments.

4. Met and learned from the best

Industry peers mingled and participated in carefully curated sessions designed to address their day-to-day HR challenges.

💡 Get inspired

There’s only one thing that matters in today’s labor market…Employership

In Europe, high turnover is a major concern, with 99% of organizations grappling with various talent challenges – from workforce diversity to an increase in “quiet quitting.” As a result, improving the employee experience has become the top HR priority for 2023 (Mercer, 2023).

The four pillars of Employership:

1. Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)

Authenticity has emerged as a key contributor to a sense of purpose, which is now a top priority for employees. The social aspect of ESG is particularly in focus and has significant implications for both employee perceptions and workplace practices.

2. Equality

Equality means providing equal opportunities for growth and development, treating all employees fairly, and ensuring transparent decision-making processes. By promoting equality, companies can create a sense of belonging, retain top talent, and maintain a positive employer brand.

3. Diversity & Inclusion

In our own work, we see that fostering an inclusive work environment results in up to 50% more loyal and engaged employees. Millennials and Generation Z in particular place a high value on inclusive and socially responsible employers.

4. Sense-giving

Sense-giving refers to the process of providing employees with a clear purpose, aligning their work with the organization’s mission and values. When employees understand how their contributions make a difference, they are more likely to be motivated and committed to the company’s success.
